My nonacademic education

I definitely value my nonacademic education. We talked about in class, how school helps you develop social relationships, and I think that is really important in preparing you for life after school, and just everyday life in general. Most people have to know how to interact with people in order to be successful and live their lives to the fullest. We also talked about how we get to hear all different sides to issues, and all different opinions about a lot of things while at school, and not just those of our parents and families. This is also really important, since so many of us are so strongly influenced by our parents, and it is important for everyone to make up their own mind.

So basically i did my blog all wrong and didn't understand what was meant by nonacademic education, but now that I see what you're talking about I agree. School is a great place to create who you are by learning and sharing new ideas. You also form your own independence by being able to think for yourself.

Kendal-

I also value my nonacademic education as well. By learning politics and how the government runs, even though it is highly doubtful for me to be involved in politics, I find myself understanding a lot more things on the news and such. I think school is a place where people can be educated all around. Also, I think it's a place where we can find ourselves. By learning both academics and nonacademic, I know what interests me I know how well and how much I can take different points of view and things like that.
I thought this discussion was very interesting...
